Halstead Residents may see a vehicle like the one in the photo around town. The City of Halstead has recently partnered with Professional Code Compliance (PCC), a professional third-party firm, to support efforts in maintaining the health, safety, and overall appearance of our community. This includes public nuisances, unsafe structures, overgrown lots, and other property maintenance issues that affect our shared quality of life.
Through this partnership we are working to make Halstead’s code compliance enforcement consistent and fair through open, respectful communication with residents. We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep Halstead a great place to live! 💙

A bicycle was found abandoned on the road. Call the Police Department if you believe it may be yours.

Halstead's 2025 Fireworks purchase & discharge dates: ⚠️July 3rd-5th from 8am-11:59pm⚠️ ● Violations will be subject to ticketing by Police. ● In the event of an emergency or to report illegal fireworks call 9-1-1.

⚠️LIMB PICK-UP : JUNE 30TH⚠️ All items must be curbside by 6AM and the following guidelines will apply: ● Yard debris ONLY! ● Limbs must be cut 15' or less in length ● Items must be easily accessible **** Items too large or too long to be safely collected by city equipment will not be picked up & will remain the responsibility of the property owner.

‼️UPDATE: Water service has been restored‼️ ⚠️ATTENTION⚠️ Water will be shut off for several hours this morning in the following areas while repairs are being made: ● Harvey Street from 4th to 2nd Street ● 2nd Street from Harvey to Poplar We apologize for any inconveniences.

In conjunction with the Halstead Tree Board, the Kansas Forest Service will be in town Monday, June 23rd and Tuesday, June 24 to do a street tree inventory of our city. They will be walking the streets of Halstead identifying species and numbers of trees in the public parking areas of our streets. Please keep an eye out for these tree techs as they make their way through town. Thank you!
