Veterans Day Office Closure
In observance of Veterans Day, City of Halstead offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
We take this day to honor and thank all who have served our country.

All departments got in on the fun last Friday night to cook, assemble, and pass out around 300 hot dogs to hungry trick or treaters (and their parents) as well as safety glow necklaces. From the costumes to the window paintings to the candy to the laughs and smiles, we hope everyone had as much fun as we did.
A big thank you to the Halstead Chamber and its volunteers for organizing the event, the downtown businesses who participated and sponsored, and everyone who turned out for a great Halloween night in the community. A special thank you to Halstead Market and Champs Meats for partnering with the city on providing the hot dogs for the event.
Support local qualifying businesses and get some new Halstead Swag by bringing in 2 or more receipts totaling $77 or more to City Hall to receive a Halstead Skyline t-shirt between now and Dec. 31 or until supplies run out!
