The second annual Hunter's Education Course was successfully conducted under the instruction of Officer Crowe, continuing an important public safety outreach effort aimed at promoting responsible firearm handling and outdoor safety. All 21 participants successfully completed the course and were issued certification upon passing.
Course instruction covered essential topics such as firearm safety, safe handling and storage, proper use of hunting equipment, wildlife conservation, hunting laws and regulations, and ethical decision-making in the field. Participants also benefited from practical, hands-on components designed to reinforce classroom learning.
The program was made possible through the efforts of Instructor - Officer Crowe, the Halstead Police Department, and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, whose support helped ensure another successful year of training for community members.
